Greetings ~

I have been asked to build a cremation box for a good friend who is, at this writing, in hospise care and not expected to live but only a few more weeks. To say the very least, this is probably the saddest project I have had to do. I am a woodworker by hobby only. So I took this project on as a favor to a friend.

I worked in the funeral business back in the late 1960s and early 1970s. I have kept up on some of the business ever since. So I have "some" knowledge of cremation and cremated remains.

I want the box to be stylish but our friend was always a simple man and loved the outdoors. He and his wife camped very often. They have a 5th wheel camping trailer that they keep parked at a local campsite and spent most of their time there before he got sick. I want the box to reflect his interest in the outdoors by actually being sinple in design. He is by no means a flashy person. So I am using pine in the construction.
